About The Campaign

Kitsap Cares About Kids
Kitsap is known for our innovative and proactive programs. The general public is mostly unaware of this positive community culture. The 40
developmental assets provide proven scenarios to help kids succeed and the Kitsap Cares About Kids project is based on this approach. By affirming what is already being done to help local children and youth and in declaring our support for youth... we will generate more support and higher awareness of the importance of our youth.

Kitsap Cares About Kids is a communication campaign to generate much deserved pride in the programs and organizations serving our community’s kids, and to identify new and innovative efforts to expand on that success.

Sponsored by the Kitsap County Commission on Children and Youth (a County board serving all Kitsap County youth), Kitsap Cares About Kids supports all community organizations that use developmental assets to help youth in our community.

Register Your Support
The campaign highlights businesses and organizations that invest in youth. All businesses, organizations and individual supporters are invited to register with Kitsap Cares About Kids to show their support. Registering is a way to make a personal or institutional commitment to be mindful in connecting with kids.

Share Your Stories
By showcasing successful stories that have changed the lives of youth in our community, we will enhance public and private support for the children of Kitsap County. By sharing our stories, others will be inspired to take time to connect with kids... and share your stories.

We encourage donations directly to youth agencies as well as the Kitsap Cares About Kids campaign which will provide matching grants to youth focused service agencies.

Kitsap Cares About Kids generates public awareness and pride in the Kitsap community's commitment to serve young people and help them build better lives.

A countywide effort involving all jurisdiction and community youth organizations.
